5 MW of liquid-cooled compute in Portugal

Campus I is two three-storey concrete frames that are already built. Ten 500 kW pods go in over three phases, and each pod earns from the day it goes live.

The EU wants three times its data-centre capacity. On current plans it gets about 70% more by 2030. A new grid connection in the main hubs takes 7 to 10 years.

The concrete is done. Each frame has three storeys of reinforced concrete with waffle slabs, and its column grid takes a 40-ft pod directly.

One pod is a 40-ft container with 500 kW of IT capacity. Racks, power and cooling leave the factory as one unit.

    Pods can move

A pod is plant, not building fabric. It can go to another site.

Campus I reaches 5 MW in three phases. Each pod earns from the day it goes live.

Quarters are counted from the project start: quarter 1 is months 1 to 3, quarter 3 is months 7 to 9, and quarter 5 is months 13 to 15.
